The 2nds travelled to Hornsea this week looking to continue their 100% start to the season after the bank holiday win at Humbleton. Hornsea batted first in this match and set a challenging total of 183-8 from their 45 overs. The wickets for Pock were spread about between the bowlers but their is a special mention to Finn Waldron (2-38) who took two wickets on his 2nd debut at the age of 14.
The Pock reply got off to a good start with an opening partnership of 71 before the in-form Martin Stables (37) went lbw. Another wicket fell soon after before James Saltmer (26) provided the required support to inch Pock closer to victory. Saltmer was unfortunately caught but he was the last wicket to fall as Joss Room completed a patient half century (60*) to guide his team to another victory with the support of Cal Quarton (10*) and 30 more points on the table.
