Pocklington 1sts sponsored by Stamfords were visiting North Cave Coal Exporters last weekend with the 1s looking to bounce back from two defeats on the spin.

The hosts won the toss and elected to bat which proved to be a struggle with only two players reaching double figures as they were bowled out for 86 in the 37th over. Alex Downey (5-23) the stand out bowler with a five wicket haul, whilst Ed Lomas (2-18), Connaire Brattan (1-23) & Dave Chaplin (1-20) picked up the rest.

Pock lost Martin Stables (11) and Dave Chaplin (11) in reply but they were the last wickets to fall as Pock went from 31-2 to finish on 87-2 winning the game in the 13th over with Dan Littlwood (23*) and Will Atkinson (18*) seeing the team home.

A much needed win for the 1sts and ten more points onto the league table, next week they are back at Burnby Lane and host Heworth in a midday start.
