Following a vote by all York league clubs, the YPLN have now confirmed that the opening weekend fixtures have now been moved from Saturday 20th April to Monday 25th May (Bank Holiday).

This decision has come about and been voted on by league clubs due to the poor weather conditions causing a lot of teams to fall behind on the pre-season ground preparations.

The season will now get underway on Saturday 27th April for our 1st and 2nd teams. Our 3rd XI have a free week the opening week anyway, our 4th XI do have a fixture in the Vale league on the weekend of the 20th however it is likely given current conditions that the game will not go ahead.

Lets all hope for continued better weather so that we can get the new season underway on time.
